Location: Bangkok, ThailandRank: SeniorJob DescriptionThe Cloud Engineer role involves developing, managing, and optimizing infrastructure through cloud platforms. In this position, you will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure.Roles and responsibilities
  • Design, plan, and manage cloud environments focusing on efficiency and optimal resource usage.
  • Advise clients about current state data platform and create an appropriate transition path to cloud-based platform
  • Work with customer stakeholders in order to understand the implementation of data platform requirements, analyze performance, and troubleshoot any existent issues
  • Implement and support infrastructure migration methodologies including bulk application transfers into the cloud (based on Azure, or GCP).
  • Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
  • Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain a library of deployable, tested, and documented automation design scripts, processes, and procedures.
  • Enable DevOps development activities and complex development tasks that will involve working with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Maintain cloud services, monitor cloud privacy, and manage budget solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining IT solutions in cloud environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with various enterprise applications and IT services, as well as software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix, SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity in infrastructure as a code such as Terraform.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure, database, compute, and storage systems.
  • Understanding of firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS.
  • Strong internal team collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and written capabilities in English
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to progress multiple priorities concurrently
