Position Description
The Business Development Director identifies and develops potential clients and projects that relate to our business in coordination with the Directors. This role involves maintaining and organizing marketing materials and databases, developing and implementing strategies to promote and develop awareness of our business, and developing overall sales and marketing planning and implementation.Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Marketing/Business Administration or Interior Design
  • 5-7 years of experience in related industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Good spoken and written English
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and promotion planning strategies
  • Knowledge of Architecture and Interior Design
  • Coordination and multi-tasking skills
  • Basic Google computer skills including Gmail /CRM software Google Workspace
  • Ability to plan activities and information distribution

Responsibilities1. Strategic Business Development & Client Acquisition:
  • Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis:
  • Identify news and market trends from publications, online sources, and AI-based research.
  • Analyze market data to identify potential target clients and emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare background information and marketing strategies to target each sector group and submit to management for approval.
  • Client Relationship Management (CRM) & Lead Generation:
  • Maintain the CRM system for tracking leads, proposals, and client interactions.
  • Maintain a register of upcoming proposals, current proposals, and leads in CRM .
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies using digital marketing and networking.
  • Business Development & Networking:
  • Maintain dwp relationship tree for top 20 clients and report interactions monthly
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities (at least monthly).
  • Ability to generate new leads for the business.
  • Organize and host client events, workshops, and presentations.
  • Attend marketing and promotional events related to business.
  • Coordinate with other dwp offices on marketing activities.
2. Marketing & Content Strategy:
  • Strategic Marketing Planning:
  • Prepare a comprehensive annual marketing strategy plan, incorporating market analysis, competitive landscape, and digital/traditional tactics.
  • Update/develop the dwp Marketing manual.
  • Digital Presence & Content Creation:
  • Develop and manage the firm's online presence, including website, social media, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Optimize digital content for search engines (SEO) and user experience.
  • Create and curate engaging content, including blog posts, articles, videos, and social media updates.
  • Develop promotion planning for the company via design magazines, local and international, internet and publishers.
  • Maintain details of design magazines/internet and publishers that have information of the company and keep information in the marketing files.
  • Visual Asset Management:
  • Organize professional photo and video shoots of completed projects.
  • Maintain a digital library of high-quality project images and videos.
  • Coordinate Photographic shooting of completed projects and contact suppliers about selling duplicate photographs of the project.
3. Proposal & Project Management:
  • Proposal Development & Management:
  • Coordinate with the design team to prepare high-quality proposals and presentations.
  • Manage the proposal development process, ensuring timely submission and adherence to client requirements.
  • Develop compelling case studies and project descriptions for completed projects.
  • Capability & Content Development:
  • Maintain and update digital and print capability statements, including company profile and relevant project experience.
4. Internal Communication & Reporting:
  • Management Reporting:
  • Prepare reports and presentations for weekly management marketing meetings.
  • Plan activities and information distribution for the company including print media, internet and publishing to promote company awareness.

  • Ensure that the Quality Management system is implemented and maintained and to evaluate where continual improvement can be made.
6. Technology & AI Integration
  • Utilize approved AI tools (including LLMs and Generative AI) to assist with

  • Content creation (e.g., drafting emails, social media posts, proposal sections).
