You will be able to learn and grow by working closely with experts from a variety of backgrounds from all over the world.The Opportunity:We are looking for an Senior Manager, Global Public Relations (Consumer PR) to join our dynamic team within Agoda's Marketing department. The global communications function is responsible for building and protecting Agoda's reputation as a trusted and innovative brand with partners and consumer worldwide. Our Communications team oversees 10+ managed markets, supporting different parts of the business to help share Agoda's story. The person who fills this Senior PR Manager role will be central to making us even more impactful as part of an international, results-focused Communications team. We move fast and leverage many channels to reach our audiences. You'll be able to make a difference quickly, contributing ideas and helping to shape our thinking.The role will be based in Bangkok, Thailand and will be reporting to the Director of CommunicationsIn this Role, you'll get to:
- Shape and define the PR strategy to elevate Agoda's visibility in markets across Asia Pacific and beyond
- Manage and develop two direct reports, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to help them achieve their goals
- Manage multi market agency teams to deliver measurable consumer content
- Ideate scalable content to keep Agoda in the news leveraging a combination of data, product, campaign and corporate news
- Keeping a finger on the pulse of breaking news, spotting trends and other editorial/content opportunities for Agoda, what makes the news and how to create that narrative
- Problem solving to develop creative media relations strategies, while also being analytical and measurement driven
- Providing input for the Agoda global team drafting pitches, media briefings, Q&As as well as generating campaign ideas
- Responding to global media enquiries and maintaining the Agoda press office
- Managing and counselling stakeholders throughout Agoda who require PR support
- Creative thinking and an all-round make-it-happen team attitude
- 8+ years of experience in public relations in traditional and digital teams, advantageous, ideally in both an agency and in-house setting. Experience should include 3+ years managing teams or direct reports.
- Strong story-telling experience to consumer, corporate and B2B audiences
- Demonstrable experience of an integrated approach to PR (content, social media, influencers, media partnership etc.)
- Strong media contacts; sound knowledge of influencers and non-traditional channels
- Great English writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
- Crisis and issues management experience would be beneficial
- Quick thinking and ability to spot trends and exploit opportunities to respond quickly to social sentiment
- Project management capabilities and experience in managing creative and production resources
- Experience in working within a matrix organization structure, across multiple markets and influencing different internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of managing and optimizing budgets
- Ability to measure quality/impact of content for future improvement
