For more information, please visitNice to knowReport to the Program Supervisor, the NPI Finished Frame Engineer is responsible for the industrial validation and process readiness of the finished frame during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase. This includes overseeing mechanical and aesthetic operations such as CNC processing, sub-assembly, final assembly, jig and fixture definition, printing process validation, and final routing review. The role ensures the finished frame is ready for mass production in terms of quality, repeatability, and assembly efficiency.My day at EssilorLuxottica
Coordinate CNC trials on new models and related jigs and ensure dimensional and cosmetic consistency on the finished frame
Define and validate process flows for pre-assembly and final assembly steps, including screw fitting, gluing, mechanical joints, and modular sub-assembly where applicable
Define jig and fixture requirements for assembly, alignment, or support during CNC, printing, or laser operations. Provide feedback for fixture tuning and process robustness
Review and finalize internal process routings defined by NPI L2-0 Engineer
Participate in early builds, troubleshoot assembly issues, and capture improvement actions
Work closely with industrial engineering, product design, tooling, quality, and production teams to ensure process readiness and manufacturability
Contribute to technical data sheets and routing revisions
Comply with the local and group policies
Comply with the ISO certifications and other group systems
Contribute to the external/internal audits
Must have
Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
Hands-on experience with CNC, mechanical assembly, and jig design
Knowledge of NPI flows and process qualification
Knowledge of printing and laser decoration processes is a plus
Good understanding of routing creation, cycle time management
Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and translate design into process requirements
Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills across departments
