Reviews supplier Inspection and Test Plan on the base of the requirements of the purchase order, technical specification, job specifications, codes, standards, statutory regulations, etc
Reviews Supplier inspection and testing procedures on the base of the requirements of the purchase order, technical specification, job specifications, codes, standards, statutory regulations, etc
Attends and leads regular progress meeting with Supplier, Wood and Client
Attends shop inspections and testing of equipment and materials (including NDE and hydrotest)) as detailed in the Supplier Inspection and Test Plan
Checks compliance with purchase order requirements of equipment and materials
Issues inspection reports after each visit/inspection or as requested
Issues non-conformance report for equipment and materials, including documentation found non-conforming
Identifies and prevent possible non-conformities according to the Quality Assurance System Procedures both for System and on Contract
Suggests corrective actions according to the Quality Assurance System Procedure both for System and on Contract
Expedites supplier action to resolve non-conformances and open issues arising from inspection visits
Maintains a professional standard of behavior in relationship with Suppliers, Client representatives, or other parties
Issues final inspection report and release of equipment and materials
Liaise with requisitioning Engineer and Inspection Manager as appropriate
Reports to the Expediting and Inspection MAnager all matters related to the inspections and testing attended
Reviews suppliers material certificates, test certificates, test reports, and inspection data books
Checks that purchase order has been received and acknowledged by supplier and that there are no outstanding questions to be resolved
Reviews and analyzes Supplier / Sub-supplier fabrication schedule
Verifies that vendor fabrication schedule fulfills the Purchase Order delivery dates and milestones
Reviews and analyzes the progress status of all Supplier / Sub-supplier activities, i.e. engineering, procurement of material, fabrication, inspection & testing, packing and shipment
Submits expediting reports after each visit or as requested, highlighting critical areas that require recovery or corrective actions
Expedites corrective actions required to resolve production or delivery problems
Ensures that the correct personnel are interviewed at the supplier shop and are also taking appropriate actions if slippages or delays are occurring
Assists suppliers and sub-suppliers to resolve any bottlenecks and facilitate the on-time delivery of their equipment and materials
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field
At least 10 years of experience in the field of inspection and testing of pressure equipment and packages
Similar experiences in Fired Heaters supply projects
Certified Level 2 Operator for non-destructive testing (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT) in accordance with the rules established by the standard UNI EN ISO 9712, or trained and certified according to other international standards equivalent to UNI EN ISO 9712 (e.g. ASNT SNT-TC-1A)
Certified Welding Inspector in accordance with CSWIP 3.1 or the European Welding Federation (IWI)
Certified NACE level II (preferable)
Direct knowledge of all aspects of heat treatments with the types of equipment that will be used on the construction project such as electrical resistance heating elements, induction coils, or gas fired heaters
Working knowledge of the following codes, standards, and legislations: ASME Code Sec. I, Sec. VIII Div. 1 & 2, Sec. IX, Sec. V, ASME Sec. IIA, IIB IIC, IID, API 560, API 934, API 936, API 582, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME B16.20, ASME B16.25, ASME B16.5, ASME B16.34, ASME B16.47, ASTM, AWS D.1.1 and EN 1090
Broad knowledge of construction, fabrication and inspection techniques
Knowledge of quality management and quality assurance standards e.g. ISO 9001
Good planning and organizational skills
Pro-active approach in resolving any quality control inspection issues / action
Professional, safe and ethical standard of behavior in the relationship with suppliers, client representatives, or third party inspection
Good knowledge of MS office and excellent English
Speak and write clearly and informatively
Follow Company policies and procedures
Complete inspection and expediting reports as well as the review of supplier's inspection and test plans and inspection and testing procedures in timely manner
Self-motivated and enthusiastic
