Our client is putting together a proposal for work on the Purple Line Extension EPC (PPLE) in Thailand and they are looking for suitably experienced and qualified candidates for the role of Migration Manager.This work is not expected to start until mid-2026.As part of the EPC System Engineering Management unit, Migration Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the seamless migration of systems, data, and operations from existing infrastructure to the new railway extension environment. This role ensures minimal disruption to project timelines and operational continuity during the migration process and works closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to achieve successful integration.Principal responsibilitiesThe principal responsibilities of the Migration Manager are:1) Develop and implement a comprehensive migration strategy and detailed migration plans aligned with project schedules and requirements.2) Coordinate all migration activities, including data transfer, system cutovers, and commissioning support.3) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Client) to ensure alignment and readiness for migration phases.4) Identify risks and issues related to migration and develop mitigation plans to minimize impact on the project.5) Manage resources and Sub-contractors, external interfacing party engaged in migration tasks.6) Monitor migration progress and report status to project management and stakeholders.7) Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout the migration process.8) Facilitate post-migration verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.Job RequirementsEducational qualificationsThe Migration Manager is required to have, as a minimum, bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certificates in project management or migration methodologies (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are advantageous.ExperienceThe Migration Manager shall possess the following professional experience:1) Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in managing complex system migrations, preferably within railway, transportation, or large infrastructure projects.2) Proven track record of successful data and system migrations in EPC or similar project environments.3) Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and external interfacing parties during migration activities.4) Familiarity with Railway control, Signalling, or IT systems is highly desirable.5) Experience working in international and multicultural project teams is preferred.Skills and abilitiesThe Migration Manager must possess the following skills and abilities:1) Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent migration tasks.2) Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.3) Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address migration risks and issues.4) Proficiency in migration tools, data management, and IT infrastructure concepts.5) Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.6) High level of English proficiency for technical communication and reporting.
