Oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Lead and manage production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
Ensure optimal utilisation of resources (manpower, machinery, materials) to achieve production targets.
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align plant goals with corporate objectives.
Drive innovation in manufacturing processes and product development.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the plant.
Safety & Environmental Stewardship
Champion a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance with local and international EHS regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
Financial & Budgetary Control
Prepare and manage the plant's annual budget, including cost control and capital expenditure planning.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Analyse financial reports and take corrective actions as needed.
Team Development & Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Drive employee engagement and retention through effective communication and recognition.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a Plant Manager or equivalent leadership role.
Strong background in plastic injection moulding, extrusion, or thermoforming processes.
Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
Solid understanding of ERP systems, production planning tools, and data-driven decision-making.
