You will work closely with vendor's production leaders to support production, manage projects to the plan and execute efficient production flow of finished goods. You will work to identify and correct failures that may result in late deliveries or rejections. You will oversee the assembly, consolidation, compilation and interpretation of information regarding internal production processes for a number of managed companies in order to negotiate effective and efficient delivery dates for assigned purchase orders.HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACTMaterial and Capacity Planning & Management
Long Lead Time style / material planning and negotiation with vendors, working with Bangkok Product Development and US Sourcing team on required timing
Capacity planning - negotiating with vendors based on open capacity, forecasts, and demand timing.
Build time and action calendar for forecasts, material commitments, purchasing
Manage yarn, greige, color commitments and excess material liabilities
Execution of seasonal buys - PO Placement
Ensure PO management system is accurate and manage updates with factory / US Sourcing Operations
Audit PO data: Troubleshoot buy discrepancies related to VAS, forecast, cost and timing with vendors and US Sourcing Operations
Communication on VAS requirements to factories
Execution of seasonal buys - PO Confirmation
Negotiate PO confirmation dates with vendors for required exit-factory timing
Verify PO cost including tiered up-charges related to volumes and submit for final approval from US Sourcing Ops team
Track and report on material liabilities related to committed quantities vs actual orders
Work closely with US Sourcing Ops to prioritize rush deliveries
Negotiate and track sales sample PO production and delivery
PO system management (VP-Vendor Portal Administration)
Review vendor Shipment IDs for accuracy and ensure shipment ID closure
Manage new user training, set-up, and user deactivation (Vendor portal)
Collaborate with Tampa Sourcing Operations and IT for upgrades, improvements, issues
Administer shipment delay reason codes to track vendor on-time-shipping performance
Ensure vendors understanding and compliance of packaging and supplier manual with reporting of discrepancies to Customer Compliance team
Reporting
Work In Progress (WIP) tracking: Manage weekly WIP reports to proactively identify and validate any potential delivery/service issues. Escalate any delays to US Sourcing Ops
Seasonal, annual reporting: Partner with US office and vendors to build and communicate style, seasonal forecast, production plan / calendar
Prepare weekly, monthly, or as needed reports reflecting the status of the business and internal / external performance metrics (order quantities, on time shipping metrics, etc.)
Vendors visit - by QuarterWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Years of apparel industry related professional experience: 3+
Bachelor's degree in apparel / material / product development or equivalent degree
Good understanding of the entire supply chain process from design concept to receipt
Experience working with logistics providers on shipment bookings preferred
Detail oriented, and has good analytical, communication, customer services, and project management skills
Strong communication skills (fluent in English reading / writing / speaking)
Excellent PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong Excel skills is a must. Knowledge of MicroStrategy or other querying tools preferred.
Basic textile and construction knowledge
Ability to work across teams and departments - must be comfortable in working in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing, and flexible environment
Ability to travel to factories throughout Asia
