Job PositionTechnical Sales Engineer - Data Center BusinessJob Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical point of contact for clients during the pre-sales phase, understanding customer requirements and proposing optimal solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the business development and sales teams to design and present technical solutions aligned with client needs, including power, cooling, rack layout, and connectivity infrastructure.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations, and RFP/RFI responses for prospective clients.
  • Conduct site visits, technical walkthroughs, and assessments to identify opportunities and validate client requirements.
  • Liaise with engineering, operations, and construction teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of proposed solutions.
  • Support customer onboarding and handover to operations, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
  • Provide technical training and support to internal sales staff and channel partners on data center technologies and offerings.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor solutions in the data center space.
  • Participate in trade shows, technical conferences, and other marketing or customer engagement events.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solution architecture, preferably in the data center, cloud, or IT infrastructure industry.
  • Strong understanding of data center components such as power systems, cooling, IT racks, cabling, security, and network infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to translate technical features into business value propositions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, Uptime, Cisco, VMware) are a plus.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
