We are looking for a results-driven Channel Development Manager to lead channel strategies, identify growth opportunities, and deliver effective plans that drive both category and sales performance. The role involves deep market and consumer understanding, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and execution of demand creation initiatives to achieve business targets.Key Responsibilities:
Understand consumer needs and habits within specific channels, and co-create strategies with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Medical/Category teams) to deliver strong shopper and customer propositions
Translate category visions, growth drivers, and company strategies into actionable opportunities aligned with channel strategy
Conduct channel assessments on trends, performance, and opportunities; define channel demand creation activities to achieve sales targets
Maintain a strong understanding of category and market dynamics, providing insights and recommendations to Sales, Marketing, and related functions
Lead the development and implementation of channel strategies and customized communication plans between Marketing and Customer Sales teams
Proactively identify new business opportunities to support channel growth and business development goals
Ensure alignment between channel strategies and customer management plans (customer planning, demand management, category development, and merchandising)
Develop monthly category and channel plans with clear priorities to support customer development teams
Manage and control category and channel budgets to ensure effective allocation and achievement of targets
Lead annual budget planning by setting priorities, focus areas, and action plans to maximize impact
Oversee the implementation and evaluation of channel activities, promotions, and projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and deliver strong ROI
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in trade marketing, channel development, or category management (FMCG preferred)
Strong business and analytical skills with experience in vision and strategy development
Proven leadership, project management, and people management skills
Experience in customer and category management development (CCMD)
Strong initiative, ability to follow through, and effective sales management capability
Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
Flexible, customer-oriented, and opportunity-driven mindset
Strong teamwork, coaching, and communication skills
