Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with global and regional business objectives.
Identify and prioritise growth opportunities across SEA markets, including new market entry, partnerships, and product/service expansion.
Lead annual business planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the SEA region.
Sales & Business Development
Oversee regional sales teams, ensuring achievement of revenue targets and customer acquisition goals.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Drive pipeline development, lead generation, and conversion strategies tailored to local market dynamics.
Market Intelligence & Expansion
Conduct market analysis to understand competitive landscape, customer needs, and regulatory environments.
Develop go-to-market strategies for new products, services, or market segments.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to localise offerings and campaigns.
Operational Excellence
Optimise commercial operations, including pricing, contract negotiation, and customer lifecycle management.
Implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve team effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with regional laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team across multiple SEA countries.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring and team development.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related fields (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
Minimum 10-15 years of commercial leadership experience in specialty chemicals or adjacent industries.
Proven success in managing multi-country operations and diverse teams.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Deep understanding of SEA market dynamics, cultural nuances, and regulatory frameworks.
Fluent in English; proficiency in one or more SEA languages is a plus.
Experience in B2B sales, especially in regulated markets such as coatings or personal care.
Comfortable with frequent travel across SEA countries (up to 30-50%) to support market development and team engagement.
