For more information, please visitNice to knowReport to the Technical Office Supervisor, the Technical Sheet Engineer is responsible for defining, managing, and maintaining the full set of technical and aesthetic specifications for each product SKU in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. This includes coordinating the definition of colors and surface finishing for make and buy components, and finished frames, all across the manufacturing processes. The role also involves creating and updating component codes, pigment and chemical references, and interfacing with the brand team to ensure alignment with design intent. The Technical Sheet Engineer coordinates the gates 2-1 and 1-0 for color approval, and in daily contact with the team leaders of the different areas (Technical Office, Master Data, Plant, Quality, APQP, Supply Chain, Logistics) and different plants or regions, and manages autonomously the relationships with product office/APQP for samples approval.My day at EssilorLuxottica
Define and document all visual characteristics for each new model and SKU
Create and manage master technical sheets (or aesthetic BOMs), ensuring all color references, codes, and processes are accurately recorded and updated
Create and maintain internal codes for pigments and painting recipe,
Define technical positions and instructions for decorative processes, such as pad printing, hot stamping, laser marking
Work closely with Brand managers to translate design briefs into technical specifications, Production and quality teams to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
Ensure accurate data entry and synchronization across PLM and documentation systems (e.g., pigment codes, process routings, BOMs).
Management of NPI industrialization (Gate 2-1 and 1-0) for SKU color and aesthetic approvals
Autonomous with the management of the relationships with other departments
Comply with the local and group policies
Comply with the ISO certifications and other group systems
Contribute to the external/internal audits
Must have
Bachelor degree (mechanical engineering or material engineering is preferred)
Strong attention to detail and sense of color/aesthetic alignment
English language is required
Experience with production processes like injection molding, painting, and decorative techniques is a plus
Good knowledge of product coding, BOM structures, and technical documentation
Proficiency with tools like Excel, PLM, and color matching system
SAP system knowledge;
