Deputy Head of Strategic Planning is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with client business objectives and industry trends. This role requires a deep understanding of influencer marketing, paid media and strategic planning (IMC). The Lead will oversee multiple teams of strategic planners, mentor their development, and build a strong foundation internally as a team as well as externally with clients.What You'll DoIntegrated Marketing Communications
  • Strategy Development: Oversee the team to understand and develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with client business objectives and industry trends.
  • Market Research: Oversee the team to conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Experience: Prior Experience in managing a planner team whose scope of work are in Influencer Marketing, Paid Media, and Creatives. A leader who can demonstrate ability to lead multiple support teams to align with client's marketing objectives. A clear direction for each marketing campaign should be led by this candidate after the client's briefing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., creative, media, analytics) to ensure seamless execution of strategic plans.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies. Identify and explore new opportunities for growth and innovation within the agency as well as introducing new innovations to the planner team.
  • Solution Development: Drive the development of innovative digital marketing solutions that deliver exceptional results for our clients. Come up with new solutions and packages that can support sales activities.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze campaign performance data and provide actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports detailing campaign results, ROI, and strategic recommendations for future efforts.
Team Leadership
  • Mentorship: Mentor and develop a team of strategic planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the strategic planning team, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Support: Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
Client Relationships
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Presentation: Present strategic recommendations to clients in a clear and compelling manner, gaining their buy-in and support.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with client teams to understand their business challenges and identify opportunities for growth.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic marketing, with a strong knowledge in influencer marketing, paid media, and creatives.
  • Leadership experience, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
  • Experience 5+ years managing a team size of at least 10 people.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful IMC campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing tools and platforms, as well as social media trends.
  • Strong Fluency in English is Required
  • Prior track record of AI usage and adaptation will be highly considered
Where Are Challenges
  • Managing a large, multifaceted team of at least 30 members across influencer marketing, paid media, and creative planning, while ensuring their development and a cohesive team foundation.
  • Balancing strategic vision with daily execution in a rapidly evolving digital landscape that demands both long-term planning and quick, innovative responses to new trends and technologies.
  • Navigating complex cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless workflow and alignment between the planning team, creative teams, media, and analytics, all to achieve client objectives.
  • Continuously driving innovation and developing new solutions to support sales activities and provide a competitive edge in the market.
  • Translating complex data and campaign results into actionable strategies and clear, compelling presentations for both internal stakeholders and clients.
