The Chief Production Engineer is responsible for coordinating with R&D Australia, overseeing the entire production engineering process, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and quality in manufacturing operations. This role involves leading a team of engineers and technicians, managing production planning, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Chief Production Engineer serves as a strategic link between design, operations, and quality assurance teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Develop and implement production processes, methods, and standards to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with design and R&D teams in Australia to ensure manufacturability of new products and product development.
- Coordinating and work with Project management team.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and initiate corrective actions.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and tools.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop budgets, schedules, and resource plans for production engineering projects.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend upgrades to improve productivity and product quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any related field.
- Min. 8 years of experience in Automotive manufacturing, strong Engineering and technical knowledge of new product and product development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.
- Experiences in leading for new project, program management, reading drawing, and knowledge in CMM, PFMEA and IATF 16949
- Design Jig & fixture and others related with NPI & Current product
- NPI Launch & production readiness preparation and management
- Strong understanding of welding manufacturing processes, production equipment, and automation systems.
- Good command of English communication
- Proficient in engineering software (e.g., CAD, CAM, ERP systems).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
