Job Responsibilities
- Procure seafood products (fresh, frozen, and processed) from Japan and various Asian countries - Manage end-to-end trading and logistics operations from order placement to final delivery - Handle import customs clearance procedures and documentation in compliance with local regulations - Communicate and negotiate with logistics partners, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and Japanese HQ, restaurants (mainly speaking Japanese) - Select appropriate transportation and storage methods to maintain product quality and freshness - Coordinate closely with internal sales and quality control departments to ensure smooth operations - Monitor and manage cost structures, optimize procurement expenses, and conduct price negotiations with suppliers - Support export operations, including delivery scheduling and customer coordination - Develop procurement strategies based on market trends, seasonality, and exchange rate fluctuations - Other assigned tasksJob Requirement
Necessary Skill / Experience
- At least 5 years as sales or import and export in seafood industry - Business level of Japanese (For communication with Japanese HQ/ Japanese restaurants) - Knowledge in import and export - Can work longer (more than 3 years per company)
Preferable Skill / Experience
- Direct experience in Import process - Fluent level of Japanese
