OverviewThis position “TH Food Science Division (FSD) Sales Specialist” will be responsible for:
Direct sales and customer satisfaction within the designated territory in Thailand
Channel Partner management for territory where company’s Food Science sales are managed by distributors
Managing and growing the Food Science Division (FSD) business for Thailand and working with SEA Life Science Group team to support FSD business in SEA as a subject matter expert
Provide in field application, training support and troubleshooting to customers
Conduct system installations, and training
Provide high level technical support to our customers
How You’ll Make an Impact:Financial/Sales
Achieve sales, marketing and financial objectives for company’s FSD portfolio
Sales of product within approved price range
Build a pipeline of new business opportunities, both for direct and indirect customers
Where appropriate, support company’s Channel Partners to win new business opportunities
Advise on maintenance of inventory levels so that the Company and customer expectations are met
Develop new initiatives to grow sales and profit lines
Promote maximum usage of company products on all systems in given customer sites
Responsible for coordinating between customers and other departments in the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsible for calling on current and prospective customers as necessary
Responsible for ensuring that the company is always achieving its objective of customer satisfaction and reports promptly to the Sales Manager of any circumstance where this is not occurring
Responsible for updating SFDC under daily basis to ensure customer database up to date
Responsible for quotation and tender preparation
It is expected that 65% of the time is spent in the field
Product Support and Training
Conduct pre-sale demonstration and after-sale product application training
Provides high level technical support to customers
Providing accurate and timely responses to customer queries regarding designated FSD products
Responsible for resolving issues arising from application related issues of customer/demonstration instrument and assist service personnel, where appropriate, to resolve system problems in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
Liaise with international technical, installation and training groups to ensure that procedures are aligned, and customer satisfaction is maintained.
Liaise with Service Dept to ensure instruments meet specifications and that appropriate levels of maintenance and service is achieved
Marketing
Maintain excellent market knowledge of all major prospects and local competitor activities and report this information to the Sales Manager and marketing team
Prepare, implement, monitor (set objectives) and achievement of the business plan product portfolio
Advise on and recommend product marketing strategies including promotion, advertising, pricing, and distribution and join relevant industry societies
Preparation for trade shows, educational seminars etc. and participate as required
Liaise with Sales Manager/Specialist in the formulation of sales strategies, manage relationships with key opinion leaders across product portfolio
Administration
Responsible for the maintenance of the customers and prospects databases
Responsible for conforming to ISO guidelines
Ensure all demo units for application training are properly accounted for
Self-Development
Ensure that a Performance Management Plan is agreed and in place
Implement an Individual Development Plan
What You Bring:
Bachelor Degree or Higher Degree in Life Science preferable in Microbiology or Food Microbiology
Marketing/Business qualifications
Excellent technical and practical knowledge of technologies used in Food Microbiology
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with strong technical understanding of Food Microbiology laboratory procedures and changing trends
Proven ability to prepare, implement and monitor business/marketing plans
Good working knowledge of food microbiology practices
Knowledge of the “Sale Process”
Preferred - Regional business management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Thai and English
