Job Role: -Regional Operations - Windows L2 EngineerLocation: - ThailandExperience: - 5+ years in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration, 2 years in enterprise environments (200+ servers).Job Responsibilities: -
Provide technical support for the in-scope technology domains (Patch Management, Vulnerability Management and DCS Operations Support) for Windows Servers and Desktops.
Work with DCS Operations service providers, product principal vendors, Branch IT support and external vendors.
Incident & Problem Management -
(1) Provide L2 technical support for Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) and Desktop incidents, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs.
(2)Escalate complex issues to L3 teams with detailed documentation and preliminary troubleshooting steps
(3)Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions under guidance from L3 engineers.
Change & Patch Management-
(1)Execute scheduled patches, updates, and BAU changes for Windows systems following change management procedure
(2)Use PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks (e.g., user provisioning, log cleanup
(3)Validate changes for compliance with security policies and operational standards.
Operational Support & Documentation-
(1)Monitor system performance using tools like SCOM or SolarWinds, reporting anomalies to L3 teams.
(2)Maintain KB articles, SOPs, and inventory records for Windows infrastructure
(3)Participate in DR drills to validate recovery procedures for critical services
Security & Compliance-
(1)Apply security patches and hardening measures (e.g., security baselines, GPOs) to Windows Servers/Desktops.
(2)Work with Cyber Security teams to remediate vulnerabilities (e.g., missing patches, misconfigurations).
(3)Ensure systems adhere to security rules/standards, PCI-DSSl & as applicable.
Collaboration & Cross-Team Support
(1)Partner with L1 teams to resolve tickets and mentor junior staff on basic Windows troubleshooting
(2)Coordinate with Network, Cyber Security, and Application teams for integrated issue resolution
Asset & Lifecycle Management
(1)Assist in deploying, upgrading, and decommissioning Windows Servers/Desktops
(2)Update IT asset management (ITAM) systems with accurate hardware/software records
Job Requirements & Skills: -
5+ years in Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)
Understanding of SLAs, RTO/RPO, and escalation procedures for Windows systems.
Familiarity with ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Service Request and Problem management) and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
Willing to work in shifts and provide on-call support
Must be able to work independently and in collaboration with various stakeholders as part of an APAC team e.g. DCS-related planning and implementation, security teams, service management teams, application teams, country IT teams and others
Windows Server management & troubleshooting
Familiarity with Virtualization technologies ( Hyper-V/VMWare/Nutanix AHV)
Basic Knowledge of Cloud platforms ( AWS/Azure)
Strong Analytical skills with diagnosing & resolving complex issue.
Monitoring tools (PRTG ,SolarWinds)
Ability to work in multicultural, geographically dispersed teams (APAC experience is a plus).
Relevant certifications in (MCSA/MCSE,) preferred.
