The position supports the implementation of various human resources functions including recruitment & selection, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, performance management, and other general human resources duties as assigned by senior leadership.Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities:
Recruiting - assist in developing and implementing strategies for attracting and selecting diverse candidates; posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, making offers, and orienting new hires; working closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide solutions to meet those needs.
Employee Relations - handling questions, concerns, and complaints from employees regarding company policies and practices, ensuring consistent application of company policies and guidelines and taking appropriate action when necessary.
Compensation and Benefits Administration – administering payroll, leave policies, medical benefits and retirement plans; answering benefit-related questions; preparing and distributing materials related to open enrollment and other benefits events; ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
Training and Development – planning, designing, conducting and evaluating training programs for both hourly and salaried personnel; maintaining records on attendance, progress and evaluation results; identifying training needs through assessments or surveys; collaborating with subject matter experts to develop training content.
Performance Management – supporting the implementation of performance appraisal processes for all levels of the organization; providing guidance to managers and employees on how to complete self-assessments and performance evaluations; analyzing data from performance appraisals to identify trends and areas where additional training may be needed; providing feedback to departments on overall performance ratings; working with executives to establish annual goals and objectives.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; equivalent experience required
2+ years related work experience preferred in Human Resources Generalist role, preferably in telecommunications industry
Experience with Workday system preferred
Strong knowledge of employment law and FCC rules and regulations
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service focus, comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
