This role is about assisting our Purchasing department by optimising our Supply Chain.Sourcing EngineerBluechips is looking for an individual who is going to support our Purchasing department. The main priorities will be to look for potential suppliers. compare their prices and services to those of our existing suppliers and validate the new ones in order to make our Supply Chain as (cost) efficient as possible.Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer products and source alternative solutions to reduce LT and cost
  • Prepare samples / datasheets from suppliers to provide customer for approval
  • Analyze customer product AVL and compare in SAP system where parts are required
  • Maintain a component AVL system for all customers and work with purchase buyers to provide solutions where components are not in SAP but in a customer AVL
  • Chase PDE to update BOM's for newly approved samples and AVL updates
  • Find solutions for EOL materials
  • Support purchase in the sourcing of Broker buy
  • Track and maintain PPV associated buying
  • Provide cost analysis of PPV Vs Quote and provide a monthly cost saving for the Purchase dept
  • Follow the company safety & environment policy
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Good command in English, both writing and speaking
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and SAP knowledge
