Feel the place and feel the extraordinary.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Commis I - Bakery to join our team in beautiful Koh Samui, Thailand. As a vital member of our bakery department, you will assist in creating delicious baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
  • Assist in the preparation and production of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts
  • Follow recipes and baking instructions accurately to ensure consistent quality
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with other kitchen team members to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation of bakery ingredients and supplies
  • Support senior bakers in developing new recipes and improving existing ones
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment and tools properly
  • Contribute to the overall guest experience by producing high-quality baked products
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a bakery or food service role preferred
  • Basic baking skills and knowledge of various baking techniques
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with bakery equipment and tools
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Passion for baking and willingness to learn new techniques
  • Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take direction from senior staff
