We hire out-of-the-box thinkers that are well grounded with ethics and legal knowledge to ensure that Agoda achieves the right results, the right way.The Opportunity:The Global Investigator (the “Role”) is a key member of both Global Investigation Services (“GIS”), the global compliance investigations team at BHI, and Agoda's Compliance & Ethics team. The Role is responsible for investigating potential violations of our Code of Conduct and ensuring that concerns are addressed promptly, thoroughly, and impartially, while working as part of a dynamic global team and collaborating closely with key stakeholders in Agoda's Legal, Compliance, and HR functions, among others. The Role is also instrumental in driving and supporting the speak-up culture at Agoda.This position is based in Bangkok. Agoda provides relocation support for successful candidates who are not currently located in Bangkok. Please note that we are not open to remote working or the possibility of being based in other locations.In this Role, you'll get to:
- Implementing investigation best practices at Agoda, with a focus on consistency and fairness.
- Partnering with the GIS governance team to preliminarily assess and scope concerns and determine whether they require formal investigation.
- Managing a diverse docket of compliance investigations across Agoda, including developing investigation plans; keeping GIS governance and key stakeholders apprised of progress; conducting necessary fact finding, which may include interviews and data collection; creating complete and accurate investigation reports; facilitating disciplinary sessions in collaboration with Agoda stakeholders; and documenting results in the case management tool.
- Properly closing out matters that do not require formal investigation, including properly referring matters, if required, to the appropriate team to ensure they are addressed.
- Supporting the team responsible for HR investigations with fact-finding, as needed, and collaborating closely with HR.
- Reporting to management and key stakeholders on investigations data and working on special projects, as designated by the VP, Investigations, from time to time.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- Proven track record investigating compliance concerns within matrixed, cross-jurisdictional organizations
- Demonstrated experience implementing company-wide investigation best practices, including intake of concerns, stakeholder communications, conducting interviews, and drafting investigation reports
- Experience collaborating with diverse, global teams

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise presentations and effectively engage with global stakeholders
