- Support the preparation of budgets including detailed cost modeling, benchmarking analysis and presentation of this to senior management.
- Assist in monitoring adherence against budget throughout the project lifespan including cost checks and reviews, value engineering and cost saving initiatives and evaluation of alternates.
- Provide guidance and assist with the orderly development of requests for proposal leading into procurement for design services agreements, owner furnished equipment and general contractor services agreements.
- Support and provide guidance on commercial change management and change evaluation efforts on all projects.
- Advise and intervene appropriately to resolve major contractual claims and disputes as they arise.
- Review analytics for project portfolio cash flow and earned value analysis.
- Monitor the financial close-out on all projects including settlement of all vendors.
- Pro-actively assist in leading all commercial risk management efforts including commercial audits, contingency analysis, risk identification and analysis and management training.
- Review project cost reports and carry out regular reviews of these with senior management.
- Oversee the adherence against company expenditure limits.
- Report status, successes, challenges and key activities to senior management.
- Develop, manage and be accountable for achievement of key commercial metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and develop best practices.
- Train and develop in-house teams on commercial controls and requirements best practices.
- Degree qualifications in quantity surveying, cost management, project management or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in relevant field, preferably with data center experience or high tech project experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment, to meet often tight deadlines, and to work pro-actively as part of a committed team
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
