Analyze, manage, and plan the procurement of freight rates to support the export and import of goods, ensuring maximum efficiency and market competitiveness.
Study and compare historical freight rates with current export and import trends to forecast future rates, aiding clients in developing competitive marketing strategies.
Oversee and plan the documentation process for exporting and importing goods, ensuring all conditions, such as Letters of Credit, are met to maximize efficiency and meet client needs.
Manage space availability to meet client demands for both export and import services, analyzing trends and historical data to ensure sufficient capacity and prevent shortages.
Negotiate with service providers to secure the best freight rates and conditions for clients, addressing any issues that arise to ensure client satisfaction.
Compare service performance with competitors, plan improvements, and propose new services to enhance logistics capabilities, aiming to offer comprehensive freight forwarding services in the future.
Monitor market movements and trends in the logistics sector, reporting potential impacts to clients and suggesting preventive and corrective measures to minimize negative effects.
Experience requirements
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in airfreight operations and procurement.
Strong understanding of market rate levels and commercial mindset.
Proven experience in negotiating with service providers and managing relationships with airlines and carriers.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to forecast market trends.
Proficiency in documentation processes for export and import, including Letters of Credit.
Strong organizational and planning skills to manage space availability and ensure capacity.
Ability to compare service performance and propose improvements.
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
Education requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
