  • Executing assigned scopes of work in a timely manner and within Key Performance Indicator(KPI) safety, quality and schedules
  • Set targets, objectives, and clear responsibilities for all supervised staff, progressively monitor individual performance against the agreed criteria
  • Ensure all persons in the project are fully commit to safety in proactive for prevention of any unsafe act, unsafe condition and look after each other on safety to prevent any accident/incident
  • Participate in risk assessments with hazards eliminated/minimised wherever possible, and/or personnel, environment, and property are suitably protected. Residual risks must be communicated to those likely to be exposed to the hazard
  • Review and maintain the site organisation and MPP, for a defined construction area, throughout pre-fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning, start-up and commissioning phases
  • Manage and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with Client, Construction Team, Contractors, and Vendor Representatives
  • Ensure that the Health, Safety, Environment, Security (HSES) and quality policy is understood and implemented by all supervised staff and construction contractors within the project
  • Monitor engineering and procurement deliverables to ensure a logical sequence that suits mechanical completion, commissioning and start-up requirements
  • Ensure that the project achieves its objectives in respect of HSES, quality, cost and project schedule
  • Actively participate in the effective administration of construction contractors and supplier site service representatives including offsite and process areas
  • Ensure contractors' labour strengths and skill/competency levels are compatible with site requirements
  • Ensure contractors' resources, plant, tools and consumables are made available to satisfy and maintain the project schedule
  • Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, and split of responsibilities matrix, to maximise construction support for completion activities
  • Agree, establish and maintain effective communication and coordination within construction team, contractors and Client
  • Managing and leading all construction reports to ensure delivery against milestones and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Oversee the completion and Turnover of the systems according to schedule and obtain Client Acceptance of the same completed works
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred with a min of 15 years in construction management
  • Extensive Oil & Gas or Petrochemical construction experience within both brown field and green field
  • Good coordination with all disciplines and driving ability with each discipline on safety, quality and schedule of the work
  • Ability to identify issues, obtains relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources and identify alternative solutions
  • Considerable experience of management multi contractors to achieve effective construction execution, quality and safety
  • Good HSES awareness and commitment without any compromise in safety
  • Good team leadership in technical, interpersonal and communication skill
  • Good Problem solving - Ability to identify problems, determines possible solution, and actively works to resolve issues
  • Good Decision making - Knowledge of and ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and / or reaching conclusions. Ability to take action consistent with available facts, constraints and anticipated consequences
  • Good English language communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple reporting priorities
  • Willing to work extended hours including weekends
