The primary function of this position is to travel to customer sites for installing and repairing the company's fiber laser sources and related equipment/components. The responsibilities include training and providing technical support to customers overseas.Job Responsibilities
Travel to customer site to install and repair laser products.
Training and providing technical support to customers.
Report discrepancies, unresolved or recurrent problems to the headquarters.
Understand technical documentation, schematics and blueprints, as to utilize them in field support.
Provide regular feedback to R&D, Engineering and Production departments.
Accurately identify system problems from the information from the field, consolidate this information and report these problems to the appropriate teams.
Assist other Field Service Engineers as directed.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Experience requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical Engineering or any related fields.
At least 2 - 5 years in similar experiences is advantage.
Electronics background with good understanding of optics / lasers.
Have dealt with technical support in electrical and laser products / machinery.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
Ability to strip, cleave and splice optical fibers is an added advantage
Experience with optical and electrical test methods in support of active fiber devices such as fiber amplifiers and lasers.
