About the CompanyThe company is a global leader in fiber laser technology. The primary function of this position is to travel to customer sites for installing and repairing the company's fiber laser sources and related equipment/components. The responsibilities include training and providing technical support to customers overseas.Job Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer site to install and repair laser products.
  • Training and providing technical support to customers.
  • Report discrepancies, unresolved or recurrent problems to the headquarters.
  • Understand technical documentation, schematics and blueprints, as to utilize them in field support.
  • Provide regular feedback to R&D, Engineering and Production departments.
  • Accurately identify system problems from the information from the field, consolidate this information and report these problems to the appropriate teams.
  • Assist other Field Service Engineers as directed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
Experience requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical Engineering or any related fields.
  • At least 2 - 5 years in similar experiences is advantage.
  • Electronics background with good understanding of optics / lasers.
  • Have dealt with technical support in electrical and laser products / machinery.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Ability to strip, cleave and splice optical fibers is an added advantage
  • Experience with optical and electrical test methods in support of active fiber devices such as fiber amplifiers and lasers.
  • Ability to travel extensively within Thailand.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent electronics / electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a professional environment.
