We are seeking to appoint a collaborative and enthusiastic Teacher of History & Politics. The successful candidate will teach History & Politics across all Secondary Key Stages (plus some combined Humanities in KS3).The successful candidate should:
Hold a first degree plus a post-graduate qualification in education (i.e. PGCE/GTP)
Have a minimum of two years teaching experience in the UK or overseas in a British curriculum school
Have a proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice
Have a thorough knowledge of the Secondary Humanities National Curriculum
Have a good ability to use IT to support teaching and learning
Be able to engage, motivate and support children, staff and parents
Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to think creatively and innovate
Be a positive and enthusiastic member of the staff room
Be willing to be fully involved in the extra-curricular life of the Boarding School
