Job Summary:As part of our continued business expansion, we are seeking a high-caliber executive to join our leadership team as AVP - Retail Business. This role will take ownership of our key account and retail operations across various formats and lead the commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.Key Responsibilities:
Lead all commercial activities related to retail business units, including regarding a branch specializing in the distribution of various well-known electronic devices.
Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies across product brands, sales channels, and key accounts to meet business objectives.
Drive revenue and market share growth through strategic partnerships and account management.
Serve as the internal and external champion for the retail channel, using data insights, analysis, and a solution-driven approach to challenge the status quo and drive innovation.
Manage full P&L responsibility and budget planning to ensure profitability and optimize ROI.
Collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Training teams to deliver consistent, high-performing business operations.
Demonstrate strong sales leadership with strategic foresight and interpersonal effectiveness to build commercial success.
Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and expansion strategies.
Monitor performance against key KPIs and prepare comprehensive performance reports for executive leadership.
Assist in setting financial targets and oversee the development and monitoring of departmental budgets.
Lead and manage the retail sales team: set performance targets, track progress, and coach team members to drive results.
Oversee and optimize the allocation of resources within budget frameworks for maximum commercial effectiveness.
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including marketing, finance, and operations to align strategic goals.
Proactively identify commercial risks and lead contingency planning and agile strategy adjustments as needed.
Develop and mentor sales managers and team members to build future leadership capability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or master's degree preferred.
Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in retail business operations and trade marketing, ideally in the FMCG or education industry.
Proven track record in a senior commercial leadership role with direct experience managing P&L and driving growth across multi-brand and multi-channel environments.
Strong business acumen with the ability to develop strategic plans and execute them effectively.
Hands-on experience in managing retail channels, account development, and leading customer-centric initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage complex, matrixed organizations.
Highly organized, analytical, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with execution excellence.
Self-driven with a proactive, results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal).
